Update theme & plugins​

In this chapter we are going to describe a method to update BoroBazar theme and related plugins.

How can I update theme ? :​

You can download latest theme version from your Envato profile then please follow this steps

  • keep a backup of your current site, database first. It's good for a safe approach, if any problem occur then you might rollback to previous site state.
  • deactivate & remove the current BoroBazar theme & BoroBazar Helper plugin
  • Upload new theme zip file & activate it.
  • Then from plugin menu download & activate the latest Helper plugin via TGMPA.
Special Note

In some case please follow up these steps carefully.

  • If you have created any modification inside theme, make sure the modification was done inside child-theme not the parent theme. Because modification inside child-theme won't lost your changes.
  • If you have create any modification inside helper plugin, then download & backup that plugin from your server first. So that when new plugin get uploaded you can easily shift your changes from old plugin to new plugin.

It would always a better option if you maintain a github repository for backup your custom development codes in BoroBazar theme.
